"I’ll Be Home For Christmas"

O Come All Ye Faithful family of mine to pick me up at the airport Caroling Caroling,Joy To The World” along the way because it is Christmas Time and  I’ll Be Home For Christmas  and spend even more than the Twelve Days of Christmas with you.  I Saw Three Ships, and considered a Sleigh Ride, which is dangerous because Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer.  Thus, I decided on an airplane which will arrive in the Little Town of Weyers Cave, Virginia at 10:52PM, earlier than last time when It Came Upon a Midnight Clear.  Some people may mistakenly Wonder As I Wander that Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, or even Jolly Old Saint Nicolas, but Go Tell it on The Mountain, it’s Tonton Noel (Creole for Uncle Christmas) who’s coming!  Some may even exclaim, “O Holy Night!  What Child Is This?”  Others may say, “It Must Have Been The Mistletoe”.  I know this will be a Christmas To Remember!

I don’t know what I will do If It Doesn't Snow On Christmas.  Last Christmas I was Dreaming Of A White Christmas, A Different Kind of Christmas, one showing films in Port-au-Prince.  All of ya’ll said, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas down there in Haiti”.  But this year it will be a Carolina Christmas, a Christmas In Dixie, Let it Snow!  This will be the First Noel I have spent with family in some years; so I can hear my mother say, “Merry Christmas Darling, I Miss You Most At Christmas!”  I must go to Virginia so I can have An Old Fashioned Christmas, otherwise, I'm Getting Nuttin' for Christmas.  I’ve started to think of All I want For Christmas...  I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday!  Truthfully, I Only Want You For Christmas, and that will make it a Holly Jolly Christmas, as we are Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.

It may be a Silent Night just sitting beside the Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire.  Just let me stay warm inside because outside it’s a Winter Wonderland.  I know you will Deck the Halls with Holly and the Ivy and get out the electric blanket because Baby It’s Cold Outside.

Some say, “I Believe in Santa Claus”, or question “What Child Is This?”, but let us sing together O Come, O Come, Emanuel because Christmas is really about Mary's Boy Child, Jesus, Away in a Manger.  Like the shepherds, Angels We Have Heard On High, which announce the Birthday of a King, “Happy Birthday Jesus”!  Or the Star Of Wonder, that guided the wise men to that Sweet Little Jesus Boy.  Joy to the World!

We Wish You a Merry Christmas!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.  James 1:17 KJV

  2. It took quite a while, but not as long as you might think, to actually pull my thoughts together and type it out.

  3. So I haven't been good in keeping up with you via your blog, but I was told by our friend David you were home for Christmas. Wish I were able to catch up with you, but I guess we'll stick to emails. Hope your time with the family was good and your trip back was good as well. Blessings,
