Oh Happy Day!

Oh what a "Happy Day" it is! After more than a year, the new vehicle has finally arrived.  It's all that I have hoped and prayed for (almost).  It will be exceedingly more than what I could have asked or imagined once all the accessories get installed. It rides like a luxury car now, but my new springs should make it ride like a truck!

It's tight, quiet, powerful and fresh.  I heard the word "fresh" describing it several times today.  I think it was the fact that it was so clean.  It's even got the new car smell.

I want to extend a special "THANK YOU" to everyone who contributed to this project...
  • For those who had the vision and saw the need (and convinced me of the need).
  • For those who prayed for the need.
  • For those who put that vision into action, built a plan, and raised the funds.
  • For those who gave sacrificially towards this project.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!  Thanks for putting me in this new vehicle!  Praise the Lord for the great things he has done, and continues to do!

Glad Tidings of Good News

It is after a wait of more than a year (from conception of the project) that I henceforth inform you that the long awaited new vehicle should be ready to be picked up on Thursday of this week!  I just got the news this afternoon!  A news that I've been waiting for for months.  It was scheduled to be delivered the end of July.  Because somehow they got confused on which vehicle was mine, they will be giving me another one, and ordering the luggage rack separately.  This added a few extra weeks to the delay, as they had to start the registration process again for the license plates to be in in my name.  Please praise the Lord with me, and pray that it truly will be ready when I go to get it on Thursday.

Off to South Africa

I plan to head out in ministry this weekend (unless it gets called off).  I plan to go to Fond-des-Blancs and show films.  I plan to spend Sunday night in Port-au-Prince, and catch a flight to New York on Monday.  Tuesday a long flight to Johannesburg, and Wednesday a short hop over to Cape Town.  I plan to attend the OpenMRS Implementers Meetings to be held at the Monkey Valley Beach Nature Resort.  I plan to return to the office on September 14th exhausted and jet-lagged, and ready to put into practice that which I learned at the conference.  I was privileged to attend the past two years, and it was certainly time well spent.  I expect this year will be equally beneficial.
